Tottenham has agreed a £55m fee with West Ham to sign midfielder Mohammed Kudus, with the Ghana international set to undergo a medical before signing a long-term contract.

Tottenham has agreed a £55m fee with West Ham to sign midfielder Mohammed Kudus. The deal was reportedly clinched after West Ham rejected an initial £50m offer. Kudus is now set to undergo a medical before signing a long-term contract with the North London club.

The 24-year-old Ghana international has been a target for several top clubs in recent weeks, but he had prioritised a move to Tottenham.

Kudus was drawn to Spurs’ vision, ambition, and the opportunity to be a central figure in the team. He was also impressed by the club’s ability to attract talent and their genuine attempt at winning more silverware, including the Premier League and Champions League.

Kudus joined West Ham in a £38m deal from Ajax in 2023 and has made 65 Premier League appearances for the club, scoring 13 goals and providing nine assists. His £85m release clause was a significant factor in West Ham’s willingness to sell him, as the club looks to ease financial pressure. The deal will likely bring significant funds to West Ham, which will help the club’s financial situation.

The signing of Kudus would be a significant boost to Tottenham’s midfield. He brings a level of creativity, skill, and experience that would enhance the team’s attacking capabilities. With Kudus on board, Spurs would look to challenge for top honors in the Premier League and Champions League.

In addition to Kudus, Tottenham is also exploring a move for Brentford forward Yoane Wissa.
