Lukaku is expected to leave Napoli this summer and Arsenal’s Gabriel Jesus is eyed as a potential replacement.
Napoli have reportedly turned their attention to Arsenal striker Gabriel Jesus as the Serie A champions prepare for a major reshuffle in attack ahead of the new season.
With Romelu Lukaku expected to leave the club this summer, Massimiliano Allegri is keen to strengthen his frontline despite already having Rasmus Hojlund available. The Brazilian has now emerged as one of Napoli’s leading transfer targets as the club looks to add another proven forward capable of competing at the highest level.
Gabriel Jesus Could Leave Arsenal as Napoli Rebuild Attack
According to reports from Italy, Napoli’s interest in Gabriel Jesus is genuine, with the Arsenal forward open to the possibility of a fresh challenge away from the Premier League.
The Gunners are believed to value the 29-year-old at around €20 million, although Napoli hope they can negotiate a lower fee if the player pushes for the move. While discussions remain at an early stage, the Italian club view Jesus as an ideal addition thanks to his versatility, work rate and experience at both club and international level.

A permanent transfer is currently considered the most realistic option. Arsenal would reportedly be reluctant to sanction a loan deal, particularly as Jesus’ current contract runs until 2027, making a full sale the preferred solution should they decide to part ways with the Brazilian.
Lukaku is expected to leave after falling out of Allegri’s long-term plans, with MLS side Atlanta United among the clubs showing strong interest in the Belgian striker. Lorenzo Lucca’s future also remains uncertain, and at least one attacking exit is expected before Napoli can move decisively for Jesus.
For Arsenal, the situation will be worth monitoring. The club has already strengthened their squad this summer and continue to pursue further attacking reinforcements, meaning Gabriel Jesus could become expendable if the right offer arrives.
Should Lukaku’s departure be finalized in the coming days, Napoli are expected to step up their efforts to bring the former Manchester City forward to Serie A.
