Juventus are intensifying their interest in Stuttgart midfielder Angelo Stiller, with the Serie A giants prepared to land one of Germany’s most admired playmakers.

Juventus are reportedly accelerating plans to strengthen their midfield this summer, and one of the names rising rapidly to the top of their shortlist is Angelo Stiller. The VfB Stuttgart star has emerged as one of the most technically refined midfielders in the Bundesliga, and Juventus management now see him as a prime candidate to help reshape the center of Luciano Spalletti’s squad ahead of next season’s title push.

Juventus know they need more control, creativity and composure in midfield if they are to seriously challenge for the Serie A crown again. Injuries and lack of depth have exposed weaknesses in that department throughout the campaign, making a high-level addition almost non-negotiable once the transfer window opens.

Stiller, with his calm distribution and tactical intelligence, is viewed as exactly the kind of player capable of lifting the technical floor of the team.

The 25-year-old has enjoyed a major rise over the last two seasons in Germany. A graduate of Bayern Munich’s youth academy, he has matured into one of Stuttgart’s most influential figures and has now broken into the Germany national team setup. His ability to dictate tempo from deep, break opposition lines with progressive passing and remain positionally disciplined has made him one of the most sought-after midfield profiles in the Bundesliga.

According to reports in Italy, Juventus have already lined up contact with the player’s representatives as they try to understand the financial landscape of a potential move. On paper, the deal initially looked relatively straightforward because Stiller’s contract contains a release clause worth around €36.5 million.

However, the move is a bit complicated. Stuttgart could cancel that release clause by paying Stiller a €2 million bonus. German sources suggest Stuttgart are strongly considering exactly this option, which would immediately hand them full negotiating control and make any summer pursuit much more expensive.

If the clause disappears, Stuttgart are expected to demand something closer to €50 million. That would certainly complicate matters for Juventus, but not necessarily end their interest. The Bianconeri hierarchy reportedly remain convinced that Stiller is worth serious investment.

Juventus are also aware they may need to move decisively because competition is building. Both Real Madrid and Manchester United have been credited with monitoring the German international, meaning any hesitation could quickly allow wealthier rivals to take control of the race.
