Raphinha has signed a new contract at Barcelona that will keep him at the club until 2030.
The Brazil forward’s previous deal was due to expire in 2028, but Barcelona confirmed on Thursday that he had agreed to stay for two additional years. Sporting director Deco had said in September that a new contract was expected.
Raphinha has been Barcelona’s most in-form player so far this season. The 29-year-old scored twice in their last game, the 3-0 Champions League win over Aston Villa on Tuesday.
He has scored 19 goals in all competitions playing as a centre-forward after the failure to sign a top centre-forward at his peak last summer.
Raphinha joined Barcelona from Leeds United in 2022 for £55m, having previously played for Rennes and Sporting CP.
Since arriving in Spain, he has become a regular in the team and has played on both wings as well as through the middle. He has scored 94 goals and provided 62 assists in 190 appearances for Barcelona.
The Brazil international has won seven trophies with the club, including three La Liga titles.
He was named Barcelona captain at the start of the 2026-27 season, replacing Marc-Andre ter Stegen.
