Chelsea are hopeful Alejandro Garnacho and Pedro Neto will be fit for the FA Cup final against Manchester City after both missed the draw with Liverpool through injury.

Chelsea have received a timely boost ahead of the FA Cup final against Manchester City, with growing optimism surrounding the fitness of Alejandro Garnacho and Pedro Neto.

The pair both missed Chelsea’s recent 1-1 Premier League draw against Liverpool after picking up knocks, raising concerns over their availability for the trip to Wembley. Despite being without two important attacking players, Chelsea still produced an encouraging display against Liverpool, showing resilience and determination throughout the contest.

With limited options out wide, the Blues were forced to rely on a makeshift attacking setup, with players such as Enzo Fernandez, Marc Cucurella, Cole Palmer and Joao Pedro stepping up to deliver strong performances.

However, Chelsea are aware they will likely need greater squad depth against an in-form Manchester City side, especially with the possibility of extra time and penalties in the FA Cup final.

Reports suggest there is now hope that both Garnacho and Neto will recover in time for the showdown, although neither player is yet guaranteed to feature at Wembley.

Garnacho, in particular, boasts an impressive recent record under the Wembley arch, having scored against Manchester City in both the 2024 FA Cup final and the Community Shield, including becoming the first teenager in 20 years to score in an FA Cup final.

Meanwhile, Neto has played a major role in Chelsea’s run to the final, contributing a crucial assist in the semi-final victory over Leeds United and scoring a hat-trick against Hull City earlier in the competition.
