Chelsea have broken their losing streak after putting up a spirited performance to draw 1-1 against Liverpool.
Chelsea have now broken their six-game losing streak after playing a 1-1 draw vs Liverpool in the early kickoff. Chelsea who have suffered their poorest run of form this season, faced off against a Liverpool side that have been on and off this season.

For both teams, three points could turn their season around. For Liverpool, it would confirm their place in the Champions League next season and the Reds temporarily achieved this goal when they took the lead just six minutes into the game.
Once again, Chelsea conceded in the opening 10 minutes of a Premier League game, and this time, it was due to a wonder strike from Gravenberch.
With that early goal, the Blues were once again searching for answers as Liverpool controlled the game for the next 20 minutes. Chelsea would later grow into the game and nearly pulled a goal back when Cucurella tested Mamardashvili from close range.
With Chelsea smelling a leak in the Liverpool defence, they kept applying pressure, and eventually, they got their equalizer through a sublime free kick from Enzo Fernández.
Bringing that confidence into the second half, Chelsea took the lead in the 49th minute through Cole Palmer, but it was ruled out for offside. Liverpool also had a goal ruled out as well, keeping the tie open and evenly balanced.
Liverpool had the better chances to win the game, especially through Van Dijk’s header which hit the bar, but it just wasn’t their day as the game ended in a 1-1 draw.

Chelsea have finally picked up a point from a Premier League game, but they are still in 9th place and can no longer finish in the top five. Liverpool will need to win next week to confirm their spot in the Champions League next season while hoping that Aston Villa don’t top them later this weekend.
