Wan-Bissaka has joined Aston Villa on loan, leaving Championship side West Ham.
Aston Villa have completed the signing of Aaron Wan-Bissaka from West Ham on a season-long loan deal that includes a conditional obligation to buy.
The move gives Wan-Bissaka an immediate return to the Premier League after West Ham’s relegation last season.

The 28-year-old defender missed the Hammers’ opening two Championship matches while negotiations over his future were ongoing before Villa confirmed the deal.
Wan-Bissaka now joins Unai Emery’s side as competition for Matty Cash at right-back. The Democratic Republic of Congo international brings significant Premier League experience to Villa, having made 25 appearances in the division during West Ham’s unsuccessful 2025/26 campaign.
The deal could eventually become permanent, with Villa required to purchase the defender if certain conditions are met during his loan spell. Reports suggest West Ham could receive between £20 million and £25 million if those conditions are triggered.

Wan-Bissaka becomes the latest addition to an increasingly ambitious Villa squad, joining a summer recruitment drive that has also brought in Johan Manzambi, Joao Gomes, Alejandro Garnacho, Modou Keba Cisse, Matteo Ruggeri and Zion Suzuki.
The defender could make his Villa debut against Brighton this weekend as Emery’s side begin their Premier League campaign.
For West Ham, meanwhile, his departure represents another significant loss following their relegation and the exits of players including Mateus Fernandes and Crysencio Summerville.
