Arsenal have agreed a £34m deal to sign Christos Tzolis from Club Brugge as the Greek winger prepares to replace Leandro Trossard.
Arsenal have reached an agreement with Club Brugge to sign Greek winger Christos Tzolis in a deal worth £34 million, according to reports. The transfer will set a new Belgian Pro League record and comes after the Gunners sold Leandro Trossard to Besiktas earlier this week.
Tzolis is expected to become Arsenal’s direct replacement for Trossard, who completed a £17 million move to the Turkish giants. The 24-year-old reportedly made Arsenal his preferred destination as soon as he learned of the Premier League champions’ interest.

The move is understood to be separate from Arsenal’s ongoing pursuit of Aston Villa star Morgan Rogers, with Mikel Arteta looking to strengthen multiple attacking positions before the transfer window closes.
Tzolis arrives in North London after an outstanding campaign with Club Brugge, where he scored 17 goals and provided 23 assists in just 36 league appearances. His creativity and eye for goal established him as one of the standout performers in Belgian football last season.
Those who worked closely with the Greek international believe he shares several similarities with Trossard. Although naturally a left winger, Tzolis is also capable of operating as a No. 10, giving Arteta valuable tactical flexibility across the frontline.
Former Club Brugge assistant coach Hayk Milkon believes Tzolis is at his most dangerous when drifting into central areas from the left. While he can stay wide and take on defenders in one-on-one situations, Milkon insists the forward becomes even more effective the closer he gets to goal, where his movement and finishing can consistently create problems.
