Arsenal have reportedly agreed a £17m deal with Besiktas for Leandro Trossard

Arsenal are closing in on the sale of Leandro Trossard after reportedly reaching an agreement with Turkish giants Besiktas over a deal worth €20 million (£17 million).

According to reports, Besiktas are confident the move will be finalised in the coming days after successfully agreeing terms with Arsenal.

The Turkish club has already prepared a long-term contract that would keep Trossard at the club until 2029, with the option of an additional year.

The 29-year-old recently returned from World Cup duty with Belgium following their 2-1 quarter-final defeat to Spain. With his international campaign now over, Trossard has time to consider his future before making a final decision on the proposed move.

Right now, the transfer depends entirely on the player’s willingness to join the Turkish Super Lig. Besiktas remain optimistic that Trossard will give the green light, with negotiations entering their final stages.

Trossard joined Arsenal from Brighton & Hove Albion in January 2023 and has become an important member of Mikel Arteta’s squad. During his time at the Emirates, he made 174 appearances across all competitions, scoring 36 goals while helping the Gunners lift the 2025-26 Premier League title.

Should the move be completed, Arsenal would receive fresh funds to continue strengthening their squad this summer. Arteta is expected to reshape parts of his attacking department ahead of the new campaign, making Trossard’s departure a significant step in that process.

The North London club continues to be linked with several high-profile attacking targets, including Atletico Madrid forward Julian Alvarez, Paris Saint-Germain winger Bradley Barcola and Aston Villa star Morgan Rogers.

While no deals have been agreed, the income from Trossard’s sale would increase Arsenal’s financial flexibility in the transfer market.
