It’s now back-to-back wins for Tottenham as they beat Aston Villa 2-1 to move out of the relegation zone.
Tottenham Hotspur are temporarily out of the relegation zone following their 2-1 win over Aston Villa.
Tottenham who finally won a Premier League for the first time since December when they beat Wolves last weekend have now won another following a spirited performance against collapsing Aston Villa.
Tottenham started the game with more energy than Aston Villa as they were first to every ball and put an outstanding press that was impossible for Villa to play through.
The pressure paid off as Tottenham took the lead through a long-range strike from Gallagher in the 12th minute.

It could’ve been 2-0 in a matter of minutes as Palhinha unleashed a long range strike which Martinez had to stretch to keep out. Tottenham were ramping up the pressure and the Villa fans didn’t like how Tottenham were bossing their players.
For straight 20 minutes, it was all Tottenham and once again, they hurt Aston Villa by getting their second in the 25th minute through Richarlison.

Tottenham kept Aston Villa in their own half for much of the game. Gallagher’s press and Bentancur’s composure made it difficult for Villa to get hold of the midfield while Tel and Kolo Muani were having a swell time on the wing.
Villa were below par and even though they got a goal in the last minute of the game, they were wholly outplayed by Tottenham. In the first 60 minutes, they had only one touch in the opposition box.
