PSG will face Aston Villa in the UEFA Super Cup on Wednesday with a chance to start the new season with a European trophy.
Champions League winners PSG and Europa League winners Aston Villa will meet in the 2026 UEFA Super Cup on Wednesday.
The match gives both sides an opportunity to begin the new European campaign with another major trophy. PSG are looking to add the Super Cup to another Champions League triumph, while Villa are appearing in the fixture after their memorable Europa League success.
The two teams also know each other well after PSG edged Villa 5-4 on aggregate in a thrilling Champions League quarter-final in 2025.
A fantastic game over the two legs.

Match Preview
PSG will start as favourites, particularly after another dominant European campaign under Luis Enrique. Their attacking quality remains a major threat, with Khvicha Kvaratskhelia enjoying a full pre-season and Senny Mayulu potentially being given another opportunity to impress.
New signing Maghnes Akliouche could also make his competitive debut after joining from Monaco.
Aston Villa, however, should provide a serious test. Unai Emery’s side have added João Gomes, Modou Kéba Cissé and Alejandro Garnacho this summer, and all three could make their competitive debuts.
Villa will need to be particularly disciplined against PSG’s movement and possession game, but their previous meeting showed they are capable of causing the French champions problems.
