Paris FC came from behind to beat Ligue 1 champions PSG 2-1 as substitute Alimami Gory scored twice late on in a dramatic derby victory.

Paris FC ended their Ligue 1 season in unforgettable fashion by producing a dramatic late comeback to defeat city rivals PSG 2-1, with substitute Alimami Gory scoring twice in the closing stages.

Fresh from securing their 14th Ligue 1 title earlier in the week, PSG arrived for the derby in celebratory mood after being presented with the trophy before kick-off. Luis Enrique rotated his side with five changes, including a full debut for 19-year-old defender Dimitri Lucea.

Despite the celebrations, PSG started brightly and nearly opened the scoring inside two minutes when Bradley Barcola forced a save from former PSG goalkeeper Kevin Trapp.

Paris FC quickly settled into the contest and created several dangerous opportunities of their own. Matvey Safonov was forced into action to deny Willem Geubbels and Moses Simon, while Geubbels later fired wide after a defensive mistake from Lucea.

PSG were handed another concern midway through the first half when Ousmane Dembele was substituted as a precaution due to a muscle issue, raising fresh doubts over his fitness ahead of the upcoming UEFA Champions League final against Arsenal.

The champions eventually broke the deadlock shortly after halftime when Barcola arrived at the back post to convert Fabián Ruiz’s cross and score his 11th Ligue 1 goal of the season, moving ahead of Dembele as PSG’s top scorer in the league.

However, PSG failed to finish the game off, and Paris FC punished them late on. Alimami Gory, who had only been on the pitch for nine minutes, redirected Pierre Lees-Melou’s dangerous cross-shot into the net to level the score with 14 minutes remaining.

The hosts completed the turnaround deep into stoppage time when Ilan Kebbal burst forward on the counterattack before squaring for Gory to tap into an empty net. The dramatic victory capped a remarkable campaign for Paris FC, who finished 11th in their first Ligue 1 season after a 46-year absence, while PSG now turn their full attention towards the Champions League final after seeing their unbeaten away run come to an end.
