Bryan Mbeumo says the Manchester United squad are glad to have Marcus Rashford back with them after the England forward returned to Old Trafford following two loan spells away from the club.
Rashford made his first competitive appearance for United in more than a year in the 2-0 defeat by Hull City on the opening day. He then played 80 minutes in the 5-2 win over Ipswich Town. He impressed in both games and was even shortlisted as one of three players for the player of the month award on the club website.
Mbeumo saying the forward has looked happy since returning.
“It’s really good to have him back,” Mbeumo said. “We know his quality and impact for the club. He looks happy to be with us. Everyone is really part of the good links and he’s part of this.”
Rashford had spent most of the last two years of his career away from United on loan at Aston Villa and Barcelona, where he played six months and a year respectively. He had not played for the club since December 2024 before returning this season.

He also represented England at the World Cup during the summer, making six appearances as England finished third. Rashford scored once and supplied one assist.
Mbeumo has also made an early impact this season. The forward, who joined United from Brentford in 2025, scored in the victory over Ipswich after making 34 appearances in his first season at Old Trafford, scoring 12 goals and providing three assists.
