AC Milan are reportedly intensifying their efforts to appoint Andoni Iraola as their new manager following the dismissal of Massimiliano Allegri after the club failed to qualify for the Champions League.
The Italian giants are searching for a fresh direction ahead of next season, and Iraola has quickly emerged as one of the leading candidates after his impressive work with Bournemouth in the Premier League.
The Spanish coach recently guided Bournemouth into European competition for the first time in the club’s history. A 1-1 draw against Nottingham Forest on the final day of the season secured Europa League qualification for the Cherries in a landmark achievement.

Transfer reports claim AC Milan are currently in the strongest position to secure Iraola’s signature after holding an important face-to-face meeting with the Spaniard in London last week.
The meeting reportedly marked the first direct talks between both parties and could prove decisive in shaping Iraola’s next move. AC Milan are said to have presented their long-term vision as they attempt to convince him to move to Serie A.
Although Iraola had previously expressed a desire to continue working in the Premier League, AC Milan now appear increasingly confident about bringing him to San Siro as part of a major rebuild following a disappointing campaign.
