AC Milan have rejected Galatasaray’s opening bid for Rafael Leao as Premier League clubs continue to monitor the Portugal star’s future.
AC Milan have rejected Galatasaray’s opening offer for Rafael Leao, with the Serie A giants making it clear they are not prepared to sell one of their biggest stars on the cheap.
According to reports from Italy, Galatasaray submitted a bid worth €30 million plus €5 million in bonuses for the Portuguese winger. Milan swiftly turned down the proposal, believing the offer falls well below the player’s valuation despite speculation surrounding his future throughout the summer.
AC Milan Hold Firm Despite Transfer Speculation
Leao has been one of the most talked-about names in the transfer market, but Milan continue to view the 26-year-old as a cornerstone of their project. Although there were doubts over his future earlier in the window, the arrival of new head coach Ruben Amorim has reportedly improved the situation.
The Portugal international is said to have settled well under Amorim, with the pair developing a positive working relationship during pre-season. That has reduced the urgency for Milan to sanction a sale, even as interest from abroad continues to grow.

Galatasaray could yet return with an improved proposal, but convincing Milan may prove only half the battle. Reports suggest Leao himself is not actively pushing for an exit and remains content at San Siro heading into the new campaign.
Despite that, his representatives are believed to be exploring opportunities elsewhere. Reports in England claim Leao’s camp has sounded out several Premier League clubs to assess potential interest should the right offer arrive.
Manchester United and Arsenal have both been linked with the winger in recent weeks, while newly promoted Leeds United have also reportedly been approached in a surprise development.
