Noa Lang has been presented at Napoli, and the Dutch winger is eager to develop his defensive skills under the guidance of Antonio Conte.
Noa Lang has officially joined Napoli from PSV, and the Dutch winger is excited to take on a new challenge in Italy.
Lang, who was close to joining Napoli in January but was held back by PSV, is now ready to embark on a new adventure. He completed a €25 million move to the Serie A champions and is looking forward to playing under the guidance of Antonio Conte.
Lang has already started to adapt to his new surroundings, learning his first Italian words, including “stanco” (tired), which he used after his first training session with Napoli. He acknowledges that the training sessions are intense, but he’s enjoying the challenge of getting out of his comfort zone.
The 26-year-old winger believes that playing under Conte will help him become a complete player. Lang knows he needs to improve his defensive skills, and Conte has been discussing tactics with him since their first phone call.
“It’s time for me to become a complete player, and that’s one of the reasons why I came here, to improve defensively and tactically. I think Conte is perfect,” Lang said.
Lang has had a successful career so far, winning championships with Bruges, Ajax, and PSV. He’s now looking to continue his winning streak in Naples. “A title for me? I would write ‘I am here to win, because I won championships with Bruges, Ajax, and PSV, and now I am here to look for new victories’,” he said.
The Dutch winger is known for his dribbling skills, assists, and goals, but he’s eager to develop his defensive phase. “In the Netherlands, you usually keep the ball against most opponents, but I’m very keen on developing the defensive phase,” Lang said.
With Conte’s guidance, Lang is confident that he can improve his game and become a key player for Napoli.
