Chelsea’s Mamadou Sarr is set to rejoin RC Strasbourg on loan just weeks after transferring to the Blues, according to multiple reports.
Mamadou Sarr, the 19-year-old defender, is expected to rejoin RC Strasbourg on loan from Chelsea.
Sarr joined Chelsea from Strasbourg in a deal arranged in January, but it seems he will return to his former club on a temporary basis.
During his time at Chelsea, Sarr made a single substitute appearance in the Club World Cup. Prior to joining Chelsea, Sarr was a key player for Strasbourg, starting 27 league games and missing only a couple of matches due to injuries.
The loan deal would mean that Sarr will occupy one of Chelsea’s available loan spots, as well as one of Strasbourg’s international loan spots.
It’s likely that Sarr will continue to play a significant role for Strasbourg next season, given his importance to the team last year.
