Grealish remains under contract at the Etihad until 2027, but his role under Pep Guardiola has diminished

Manchester City are prepared to listen to offers for Jack Grealish this summer, with the club reportedly setting a significantly reduced asking price of £40m for the player they signed for £100m in 2021.

Grealish remains under contract at the Etihad until 2027, but his role under Pep Guardiola has diminished. He struggled to get in the matchday squad during the latter stages of last season and was notably dropped for City’s Club World Cup campaign.

The attacking midfielder has made 157 appearances for City across all competitions, scoring 17 goals. He was also a key member of the club’s historic treble-winning squad in 2022-23, but after that season he has struggled for play time.

City’s decision to place Grealish on the market comes amid extensive changes in the squad, with the Premier League champions signing up to seven first team players in 2025, spending upwards of £280m. While there is no indication of a concrete offer for Grealish yet, several clubs across Europe are said to be monitoring the situation.
