Liverpool Victory Parade Marred By Accident 

There has been a sad incident at the Liverpool parade

A serious incident occurred during Liverpool FC’s Premier League victory parade on Monday, May 26, when a car collided with pedestrians on Water Street in Liverpool city centre. The incident happened around 6 pm, leaving 47 people injured, with 27 of them requiring hospitalization.

A 53-year-old white British man from the Liverpool area was arrested at the scene and is believed to be the driver of the vehicle.

Merseyside Police have ruled out terrorism, stating it’s an isolated incident.

Witnesses described the scene as “hell on earth,” with screams and people rushing to aid victims. Emergency services responded quickly, with firefighters rescuing four people, including a child, trapped under the car.

Liverpool FC expressed sympathy and solidarity with those affected, and local officials are reviewing safety measures for future large-scale events. The Prime Minister and Home Secretary have also commented on the incident, thanking emergency responders for their swift action.

The incident has cast a dark shadow over what had been a joyous day for Liverpool fans celebrating their team’s Premier League win.
