As the UEFA Champions League semi-final second legs approach, both Paris Saint-Germain and Arsenal experienced setbacks in their respective domestic leagues, potentially impacting their momentum.

Arsenal’s 1-0 home defeat to Bournemouth has raised concerns about their form heading into the decisive clash in Paris.

The Gunners, already trailing 1-0 from the first leg against PSG, now face the challenge of overturning the deficit without the confidence of recent domestic success. Manager Mikel Arteta emphasized the need for a “special” performance in the return leg to keep their Champions League aspirations alive.

PSG, on the other hand, suffered a 2-1 loss to Strasbourg in Ligue 1. While their domestic title hopes remain intact, the defeat could affect team morale.

However, the potential return of Ousmane Dembélé, who scored the decisive goal in the first leg against Arsenal, offers a boost. Dembélé has shown significant recovery from a hamstring injury but may feature in the upcoming match.

Both teams must navigate these challenges as they prepare for the high-stakes encounter that will determine who advances to the Champions League final.
