You cannot dispute that Arsenal are having a blissful season. It just keeps getting better for the Gunners.

Yesterday’s 1-0 win over Atletico Madrid meant that Arsenal are now in the UCL final. Against all odds and despite all the backlash, Arsenal have now progressed into the final and have a chance to write their name in history.

The Gunners reaching the final is an incredible feat but what’s even more incredible is how they did it and the records they broke to get here.

This is their first final appearance since the 1-0 loss to Barcelona in 2006 which is the longest period between European Cup/CL finals by a team in the competition since Atlético Madrid in 2014 (40 years), and longest by an English side since Liverpool in 2005 (also 20).

Arsenal also move into this final unbeaten throughout the competition. They have kept nine clean sheets, equaling Chelsea’s record from the 2021/22 season. The Gunners have also conceded only 9 goals in the competition so far.

Arsenal will have a chance to avenge their loss against PSG who beat the Gunners en route to winning the trophy last year or flex their muscles once again against Bayern Munich whom they beat 3-1 earlier this season.

Arsenal fans are ecstatic because a season that almost turned on its head last season could turn out to be a historic one. They could end up doing the double by winning the UEFA Champions League, for the first time in their history and also the Premier League title for the first time in 20 years.
