Borussia Dortmund are considering a move for Feyenoord’s Quinten Timber, with the 24-year-old midfielder open to joining the German club.
Borussia Dortmund are reportedly interested in signing Quinten Timber from Feyenoord. The Dutch international’s contract with Feyenoord is set to expire this summer, and he has rejected several offers to extend his deal.
Sources close to Timber suggest he’s open to a move to Dortmund, with the player saying he can “principally very well imagine” joining the German club. However, Dortmund hasn’t made a final decision on pursuing the midfielder yet.
Timber has been impressive for Feyenoord this season, making 14 appearances, and has also featured seven times for the Netherlands senior national team.
Dortmund will likely need to sell some midfielders before making a move for Timber, as they prepare for potential changes in their squad. The club is looking to strengthen its midfield, and Timber could be a key addition.
Other clubs, including Arsenal, Manchester United, and West Ham, are also interested in signing Timber. However, Dortmund’s interest is reportedly stronger, and they might accelerate their pursuit in January to avoid losing him on a free transfer.
Timber’s brother, Jurrien, plays for Arsenal, and the Gunners have been keeping an eye on Quinten’s progress. However, with Declan Rice and Martin Zubimendi as their first-choice midfield pairing, Timber might not get regular minutes at Arsenal which makes Dortmund a better option for him.
