Arsenal Eyes 100th Champions League Win Against Atletico Madrid

Arsenal will he gunning for their 100th win in the Champions League when they face Atletico Madrid at the Emirates Stadium.

Arsenal can make history on Tuesday night when they host Atletico Madrid at the Emirates Stadium in the Champions League. A win for Mikel Arteta’s side would mark their 100th victory in the tournament.

The Gunners have made an impressive start to the season, winning their first two Champions League matches against Athletic Bilbao and Olympiacos without conceding a goal. Their strong form has continued in the Premier League, with a 1-0 win over Fulham on Saturday.

Atletico Madrid, on the other hand, has been inconsistent on the road, losing two and drawing three of their five away games this season. Despite their strong defensive record under Diego Simeone, they have yet to pick up a win away from home.

Arsenal’s squad depth and strength will be put to the test, with Piero Hincapie’s groin issue remaining a concern. Noni Madueke, Martin Odegaard, Kai Havertz, and Gabriel Jesus are all out with knee injuries, while Martin Zubimendi and Declan Rice will miss the next match if booked on Tuesday.

Arteta has a wealth of options to choose from, and changes to the starting lineup are possible. Ben White, Myles Lewis-Skelly, and Gabriel Martinelli could all feature, giving Arsenal an added boost.
