Tottenham boss Thomas Frank expresses interest in bringing Harry Kane back to the club.

Tottenham Hotspur boss Thomas Frank has hinted at a potential return of Harry Kane to the North London club. Frank expressed his admiration for the England captain, stating that Kane is “more than welcome” to join Spurs if he decides to leave Bayern Munich.

Despite Kane’s successful stint at Bayern, scoring 98 goals in 103 matches, Frank believes the striker’s return would be a significant boost for the team.

Kane left Tottenham in 2023 for a record-breaking £100 million transfer fee, joining Bayern Munich in search of silverware. Since then, he has won the Bundesliga and the German Super Cup, showcasing his exceptional skills on the big stage. With 280 goals in 435 appearances, Kane remains Tottenham’s all-time top goalscorer.

According to reports, Kane’s contract with Bayern includes a release clause worth £54 million in January 2026. Additionally, Tottenham has a ‘first option’ clause, allowing them to match any offer made for Kane if Bayern accepts a bid or the release clause is met. This arrangement gives Spurs a chance to put an offer in front of Kane, but it doesn’t guarantee his return.

Frank believes Kane is happy at Bayern and has no intention of activating the release clause anytime soon. “Personally, I don’t think he will do it right now, if I’m honest,” Frank said. “He’ll probably stay in Bayern and continue performing well.” Despite this, Frank’s comments suggest that Spurs are open to welcoming Kane back if circumstances change.

Kane’s impressive form has continued this season, with 13 goals in seven games, including a brace against Chelsea in the Champions League.

Former Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy confirmed the ‘first option’ arrangement before Kane’s departure, sparking speculation about a potential return. While Kane’s future could see him stay longer at Bayern, Frank’s comments suggest that Spurs are prepared to consider his return if the opportunity arises.
