From record-breaking deals to Champions League reinforcements, Serie A welcomed some major names during a busy summer transfer window.

Serie A may not have matched the spending power of the Premier League this summer, but Italian clubs still managed to attract several high-profile players before the transfer window closed.

AC Milan made the biggest statement by bringing in Gonçalo Ramos from Paris Saint-Germain on a club-record deal, while Juventus secured Randal Kolo Muani on a permanent basis after his successful loan spell.

Inter also looked to England, adding John Stones, Curtis Jones and Djed Spence as part of a major squad rebuild.

Napoli made Rasmus Højlund’s move permanent, while Como continued their ambitious project with Trevoh Chalobah and the permanent arrival of Moise Kean.

Here are our top 10 incoming transfers to Serie A this summer.

  1. Trevoh Chalobah – Chelsea to Como

Como’s rise under Cesc Fàbregas has been one of the stories of Italian football, and their Champions League qualification demanded another level of recruitment. Trevoh Chalobah provides exactly that.

The versatile defender arrives from Chelsea in a deal worth around €30 million plus bonuses. His experience in the Premier League and European football should be particularly valuable for a Como side preparing for its first Champions League campaign.

  1. Djed Spence – Tottenham to Inter

Inter have undergone a significant defensive rebuild this summer, and Djed Spence is one of the younger additions to a back line that also welcomed John Stones.

The former Tottenham defender brings athleticism, versatility and experience of playing as both a full-back and wing-back.

His €35m deal, including bonuses, represents a significant investment, but Spence could become an important component of Cristian Chivu’s new-look Inter side.

  1. Curtis Jones – Liverpool to Inter

Another Englishman heading to San Siro, Curtis Jones gives Inter a midfielder entering his prime after years at Liverpool.

The 25-year-old arrives with Premier League and Champions League experience and offers Inter technical quality, energy and versatility in midfield.

  1. John Stones – Manchester City to Inter

Perhaps the most intriguing free transfer of the summer. John Stones left Manchester City after a trophy-filled spell in England and joined Inter, giving Chivu an experienced central defender capable of operating in different positions.

Inter lost several experienced defenders during their transition, making Stones’ arrival particularly important. His ability to play in a back three should also suit the tactical demands of Italian football.

  1. Rasmus Højlund – Manchester United to Napoli

Napoli needed a new focal point in attack following Romelu Lukaku’s departure, and they turned to a striker who already knows Italian football.

Rasmus Højlund’s move became permanent after Napoli activated an obligation reportedly worth around €44m. The Dane previously impressed in Serie A with Atalanta before moving to Manchester United.

Now back in Italy, Højlund has the opportunity to rebuild his reputation and lead Napoli’s attack under Massimiliano Allegri.

  1. Franco Mastantuono – Real Madrid to Fiorentina

Franco Mastantuono joined Fiorentina on a season-long loan from Real Madrid after the Spanish giants decided the 18-year-old would benefit from regular first-team football elsewhere.

Real Madrid paid around €45m to sign him from River Plate last summer, and Mastantuono already has senior Argentina experience despite his age. Fiorentina have therefore landed one of Europe’s most interesting young talents for the season.

  1. Diego Moreira – Strasbourg to Milan

AC Milan’s rebuild under Ruben Amorim received another major boost with the arrival of Diego Moreira from Strasbourg.

The Portuguese winger is one of the more expensive additions of the summer, with the deal potentially reaching €65m when bonuses are included.

  1. Randal Kolo Muani – PSG to Juventus

Juventus’ decision to make Randal Kolo Muani’s move permanent made plenty of sense after the Frenchman impressed during his initial spell in Turin.

The striker scored 10 goals in 22 appearances for Juventus during his previous loan and now returns on a permanent deal worth up to €50m including bonuses.

With Dusan Vlahovic gone, Kolo Muani gives Juventus an established attacking option and someone capable of leading the line as they attempt to return to the Champions League.

  1. Kerim Alajbegovic – Bayer Leverkusen to Juventus

One of the most exciting young talents to arrive in Serie A, Kerim Alajbegovic gives Juventus a signing that could pay dividends for years to come.

Juventus moved quickly to secure one of Europe’s most highly rated teenagers, signing 18-year-old Bosnia and Herzegovina international Kerim Alajbegovic from Bayer Leverkusen for an initial €30 million. Alajbegovic arrives in Turin after a breakthrough campaign at RB Salzburg, where he scored 13 goals in 44 appearances across all competitions last season.

His rise continued on the international stage. Born in Cologne, Alajbegovic represents Bosnia and Herzegovina and played a key role during the country’s remarkable 2026 World Cup campaign. He scored in Bosnia’s 3-1 victory over Qatar, helping them reach the knockout stages of the World Cup for the first time.

  1. Gonçalo Ramos – PSG to Milan

Gonçalo Ramos arrived from PSG in a club-record deal worth €74m plus bonuses, making him the most expensive Serie A signing of the summer.

The Portugal international has already played at the highest level for both club and country, and Milan will be hoping he can provide the consistency that their attack lacked last season.
