Roma are pushing to sign Mason Greenwood before the end of June, while AC Milan star Christian Pulisic has reportedly been offered to the Giallorossi.
AS Roma are stepping up their efforts to strengthen their attack ahead of the 2026/27 season, with Marseille winger Mason Greenwood emerging as their primary target.
The Giallorossi are keen to secure a deal before the end of June and are expected to submit a formal offer in the coming days.
According to reports in Italy, Roma’s directors have identified Greenwood as a key addition to their squad regardless of what happens with Paulo Dybala’s future at the Stadio Olimpico. The club are eager to add more creativity and goal-scoring threat to their attacking options.
Marseille currently value Greenwood at around €55 million, but Roma believe there may be room for negotiation. The French club are reportedly under pressure to complete a significant sale before the end of the month in order to comply with Financial Fair Play regulations.
As a result, Roma hope to take advantage of the situation by presenting an attractive proposal. Their opening offer is expected to be worth around €40 million, including performance-related bonuses and a substantial sell-on clause that could help convince Marseille to negotiate.
Reports suggest Roma’s preferred structure would see Greenwood initially arrive on a €5 million loan deal with an obligation to buy. The permanent transfer would then include a €25 million fee plus a further €10 million in guaranteed add-ons.
The Serie A side have already held discussions with Greenwood’s representatives, including his father and agent. The former Manchester United winger is understood to be open to a move to the Italian capital, which has encouraged Roma’s pursuit.
While Greenwood remains the priority target, Roma are also monitoring alternative options. One player who has reportedly been offered to the club is AC Milan and United States international Christian Pulisic.
Pulisic’s future at Milan has become the subject of speculation in recent weeks, and his availability has alerted several clubs across Europe.
Whether Roma choose to pursue the American forward will likely depend on the outcome of their negotiations for Greenwood, but both players are currently being considered as the club looks to strengthen its attacking ranks for next season.
