Napoli have failed with an opening €15 million bid for Genoa full-back Brooke Norton-Cuffy, with the Serie A club demanding €20 million amid interest from Inter and Fiorentina.
Napoli have seen their opening offer for Genoa full-back Brooke Norton-Cuffy rejected, with the Rossoblù refusing to lower their valuation of one of their standout young defenders.
The Serie A champions submitted an initial bid worth around €15 million for the former Arsenal academy graduate, hoping to secure a permanent deal before competition for his signature intensifies this summer.
However, Genoa are standing firm in negotiations and are demanding at least €20 million before they consider selling the England youth international. The club regard Norton-Cuffy as one of the key figures in Daniele De Rossi’s squad and are under no pressure to accept a lower offer.

Napoli’s pursuit comes as the club look to strengthen their options at right-back. Captain Giovanni Di Lorenzo remains the undisputed first choice, but the expected departure of Pasquale Mazzocchi has increased the need for another reliable option in the position.
The Partenopei are not the only club monitoring the defender. Both Inter and Fiorentina are also keeping a close eye on Norton-Cuffy’s situation, setting up the possibility of a transfer battle in the coming weeks.
Inter are searching for a replacement for Denzel Dumfries on the right flank, while Fiorentina continue to assess defensive reinforcements of their own. Their interest only adds further competition for Napoli as they attempt to strengthen Massimiliano Allegri’s squad.
Sporting director Giovanni Manna is also considering alternative targets should negotiations with Genoa fail to progress. Union Saint-Gilloise defender Anan Khalaili remains high on Napoli’s shortlist, while Fiorentina’s Dodô is another player under consideration, with all three clubs keeping tabs on several of the same right-back options.
