Napoli secured qualification for next season’s Champions League with a dominant 3-0 victory over already-relegated Pisa, keeping Antonio Conte’s side firmly in the race for a second-place Serie A finish.
Napoli confirmed their place in next season’s UEFA Champions League after cruising to a comfortable 3-0 victory away at relegated Pisa in Serie A.
With Pisa already condemned to the second tier, the pressure rested firmly on Antonio Conte’s side, who arrived knowing victory would secure a top-four finish heading into the final weekend of the campaign.
The hosts’ attacking struggles were evident from the opening stages. Pisa came into the match with the fewest non-penalty goals among Europe’s top five leagues this season, and Napoli quickly took control of possession and territory.
After early opportunities for Rasmus Hojlund and Alisson Santos, the breakthrough finally arrived midway through the first half. Hojlund intelligently laid the ball off first time for Scott McTominay, who drilled a precise finish into the bottom corner to give Napoli the lead.
The visitors doubled their advantage soon after when Amir Rrahmani rose highest to meet Eljif Elmas’ corner, heading beyond Adrian Semper despite the goalkeeper’s attempt to keep the ball out. Elmas continued to trouble Pisa’s defence and nearly added another before the break.

Pisa showed more energy after half-time and briefly threatened a response. Filip Stojilkovic forced Alex Meret into a save early in the second half, while Mehdi Leris headed over from the resulting corner as the hosts searched for a way back into the contest.
That momentum quickly faded, however, as Napoli regained control without needing to overcommit in attack. McTominay missed a good chance to add his second of the evening when he headed over from close range midway through the half.
Napoli eventually sealed the victory in stoppage time as Hojlund stretched to convert Pasquale Mazzocchi’s dangerous cross, wrapping up an important win that guarantees Champions League football for Conte’s men while keeping them firmly on course for a second-place finish in Serie A.
