Mikey Moore scored twice as Tottenham beat Hoffenheim 3-0 at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Mikey Moore continued his impressive pre-season form by scoring twice as Tottenham Hotspur cruised to a 3-0 victory over Hoffenheim at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

The 19-year-old came off the bench to make a decisive impact, combining with Mathys Tel for both of his goals. Moore’s performance will provide Roberto De Zerbi with another selection option ahead of Tottenham’s Premier League opener.

Tottenham took the lead in the 35th minute through Richarlison. The Brazilian striker finished calmly with his left foot after Andy Robertson delivered the ball across the penalty area, giving Spurs a deserved advantage.

Moore then doubled Tottenham’s lead 14 minutes after the restart. Tel produced excellent work down the left before finding Moore, who made a well-timed run and poked the ball beyond the Hoffenheim goalkeeper.

The teenager was not finished there. Twenty minutes later, Moore again benefited from Tel’s work on the left, cutting inside before firing a low shot into the bottom corner to complete his brace and seal a comfortable Spurs victory.

The result represents another positive step in Tottenham’s preparations for the new season. De Zerbi’s side remain unbeaten during pre-season, recording five victories, including a penalty shootout success, and one draw from their six matches.

Moore spent last season on loan at Scottish giants Rangers and has been linked with another temporary move this summer. However, his latest performance could give De Zerbi plenty to consider before deciding the youngster’s role for the upcoming campaign.

Tottenham will face Hoffenheim again at their training ground on Sunday in their final pre-season fixture before beginning their Premier League campaign away to Brentford on August 22. The victory over Hoffenheim also came without Djed Spence, who completed his move to Inter Milan.
