Club will wear the new strip for the first time when they host Nottingham Forest at Old Trafford on Sunday
Manchester United have unveiled their home kit for the 2026-27 season, and once again Adidas dived back into the past, drawing inspiration from the club’s kits of the 1970s.
The new shirt features a classic polo collar and striped detailing on the sleeves and cuffs, referencing the design worn during United’s 1976-77 FA Cup-winning campaign under manager Tommy Docherty. That side beat Liverpool 2-1 at Wembley to lift the trophy.
Adidas said the shirt takes inspiration from United’s heritage. The design combines a traditional red base with black and white accents, while a small “United” banner appears on the back of the jersey above the player name.
The club will wear the new strip for the first time this weekend when they host Nottingham Forest at Old Trafford in their final home game of the 2025-26 season. Meanwhile, United Women side will wear the kit away at Chelsea Women in their final WSL match of the campaign.
