Al Hilal are reportedly in talks with Luis Díaz’s representatives over a lucrative transfer, but Bayern Munich are expected to resist the bid.
Saudi Pro League giants Al Hilal have reportedly opened discussions with the representatives of Bayern Munich winger Luis Díaz as they prepare an ambitious move for the Colombian international during the summer transfer window.
According to transfer reports, Al Hilal are prepared to offer Díaz an annual salary worth €25 million in a bid to convince the Bayern star to continue his career in Saudi Arabia. If personal terms are agreed, the club is expected to submit a transfer offer worth as much as €132 million to Bayern Munich.
Díaz only joined Bayern from Liverpool last summer in a deal worth around €70 million and remains under contract at the Allianz Arena until 2029. The Colombian quickly became one of Vincent Kompany’s most important attacking players after an outstanding first season in Germany.
The 29-year-old enjoyed a superb debut campaign, contributing 26 goals and 23 assists in 51 appearances across all competitions. His performances have firmly established him as one of Bayern’s most influential players heading into the 2026/27 season.
Why Bayern Munich Are Expected to Reject Al Hilal’s Offer
Despite the eye-catching transfer fee, Bayern are unlikely to sanction Díaz’s departure. The Bundesliga champions have made it clear this summer that keeping their core attacking players is a priority, particularly after already turning down a proposed approach from Real Madrid for fellow winger Michael Olise.
Bayern’s stance reflects a broader strategy under Vincent Kompany, with the club determined to retain the players they view as central to their long-term project rather than cashing in, even when presented with offers well above market value. Losing both Olise and Díaz would significantly weaken one of Europe’s strongest attacking units.
While Al Hilal have the financial muscle to test Bayern’s resolve, the German champions are expected to prioritize sporting success over transfer income. Unless Díaz himself pushes for an exit, Bayern are likely to reject another blockbuster bid and keep one of their most productive forwards at the Allianz Arena.
