Juventus have reportedly missed out on a move for Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson after the Premier League club decided to keep the Brazilian at Anfield for another season.

Juventus have been dealt a significant setback in their search for a new goalkeeper after Liverpool reportedly decided against allowing Alisson Becker to leave the club this summer.

The Brazilian international had emerged as a potential target for the Bianconeri, who are exploring options ahead of the 2026/27 campaign as they prepare for changes between the posts.

Alisson’s contract at Liverpool was automatically extended until 2027, but reports suggested that the experienced goalkeeper had held discussions with Juventus and former Roma coach Luciano Spalletti regarding a possible move to Turin.

For a period, it appeared the 33-year-old could be on his way out of Anfield, with several reports in Italy indicating that Liverpool were open to considering offers for their long-serving first-choice goalkeeper.

However, that stance has reportedly changed in recent days. Transfer reports claim Liverpool have now reached a final decision and intend to keep Alisson at the club for at least one more season.

According to the reports, Liverpool have formally informed the goalkeeper’s representatives that he remains a key part of their plans and that the club will continue to rely on him moving forward.

The decision could open the door for Georgian goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili to leave Liverpool on loan instead. The highly rated shot-stopper has previously been linked with a move to Serie A, with both Juventus and Inter reportedly among the interested clubs.

With Alisson now seemingly off the market, Juventus are expected to explore alternative options. Reports in Italy suggest that Fiorentina goalkeeper David De Gea has emerged as a possible target as the Turin giants continue their search for a successor to Michele Di Gregorio ahead of next season.
