Juventus have reportedly revived their pursuit of Manchester United striker Joshua Zirkzee, with the Premier League club willing to sell the Dutch forward.
Juventus have reportedly turned their attention back to Manchester United striker Joshua Zirkzee as their pursuit of a new centre-forward continues to gather pace ahead of the new season.
The Bianconeri have spent much of the summer attempting to negotiate a deal for Paris Saint-Germain striker Randal Kolo Muani. However, discussions have stalled due to a significant gap between Juventus’ valuation and PSG’s asking price.
With little progress being made, the Italian giants are now exploring alternative options, and Zirkzee has once again emerged as one of their leading targets.
The Dutch international is no stranger to Serie A. Before completing his €42.5 million move to Manchester United in 2024, Zirkzee impressed during spells with Bologna and Parma, earning a reputation as one of Italy’s most promising young forwards.
Life at Old Trafford has not gone according to plan. Over the past two seasons, the 24-year-old has struggled for consistent opportunities, making 75 competitive appearances while scoring nine goals and providing four assists.
Manchester United are now reportedly prepared to listen to offers worth between €35 million and €40 million. More significantly for Juventus, the Premier League side are also open to a loan deal that includes an option to buy, making the transfer financially more achievable.
From Juventus’ perspective, Zirkzee also represents a more affordable option than Kolo Muani in terms of wages. The Netherlands international is believed to earn around €4 million per season, considerably less than the salary demanded by the PSG forward.
As negotiations for Kolo Muani continue to drag on, Juventus could now accelerate their efforts to sign Zirkzee. With Manchester United willing to negotiate flexible terms and the striker already familiar with Italian football, a return to Serie A is becoming an increasingly realistic possibility.
