Juventus are considering a move for Parma striker Mateo Pellegrino as negotiations with Paris Saint-Germain for Randal Kolo Muani stall over the French club’s €55 million asking price.

Juventus have reportedly identified Parma striker Mateo Pellegrino as their leading alternative should negotiations for Paris Saint-Germain forward Randal Kolo Muani ultimately collapse this summer.

The Bianconeri remain locked in talks with PSG over Kolo Muani, but the deal has become increasingly difficult after the Ligue 1 champions raised their asking price to €55 million, well above Juventus’ latest proposal.

According to reports in Italy, Juventus’ most recent offer stands at around €35 million, leaving a significant gap between the two clubs as discussions continue with no breakthrough in sight.

With uncertainty growing over the French international’s future, Juventus have asked Parma to effectively reserve Pellegrino while they attempt to resolve the situation with PSG over the coming days.

The Argentine striker, who is valued at around €30 million, could reportedly leave Parma on an initial loan deal that includes an obligation to buy, making him a more financially viable option for the Turin giants.

Juventus are expected to continue negotiations with PSG for another 10 days before making a final decision. Pellegrino’s representatives are due to arrive in Italy during that period to discuss the striker’s future, with the Bianconeri ready to accelerate talks if the Kolo Muani deal falls through.

New Juventus boss Luciano Spalletti is determined to strengthen his attacking options before the new season begins and has made it clear that he wants two new centre-forwards to bolster his squad.

While Kolo Muani remains Juventus’ preferred target, the club continue to monitor other options.

Atletico Madrid striker Alexander Sorloth is still admired in Turin, while Atletico are also interested in bringing Nico Gonzalez back to the Wanda Metropolitano, adding another layer to Juventus’ busy summer transfer plans.
