Harry Kane has added a new milestone in his Bayern Munich career, breaking into the club’s all-time top 10 goalscorers list after scoring against Paris Saint-Germain.

Harry Kane’s remarkable Bayern Munich journey continues to break new ground, with the England captain now officially breaking into the German club’s all-time top 10 goalscorers list.

His latest strike, which came during Bayern’s dramatic Champions League clash with Paris Saint-Germain, was not enough to prevent defeat on the night, but it did underline once again the astonishing speed with which Kane is rewriting the record books in Bavaria.

Since arriving from Tottenham Hotspur in the summer of 2023, Kane has delivered numbers that few could have imagined, even by his own elite standards. The striker has now scored an incredible 139 goals in just 142 appearances for Bayern Munich, a ratio that places him among the most devastating forwards the club has ever had and confirms that his adaptation to German football has been seamless.

Goal number 139 proved especially significant because it moved him level with Brazilian icon Giovane Elber on Bayern’s all-time scoring chart. What makes Kane’s feat even more striking is the speed of his climb. While Elber needed 266 matches to reach that total, Kane has done it in nearly half the time. In just three seasons, he has already surged past a long list of celebrated Bayern forwards and established himself alongside the club’s historic greats.

The broader context only makes his rise more impressive. Bayern Munich is a club built on legendary goalscorers, from the untouchable Gerd Muller, who scored 570 times, to modern icons like Robert Lewandowski and Thomas Muller. Breaking into the top 10 at such an institution usually requires years of sustained excellence. Kane has managed it almost immediately, which speaks volumes about both his consistency and his relentless hunger.

Perhaps the most extraordinary part of Kane’s Bayern spell is that he has never looked like a player merely chasing numbers. Even while posting record-shattering statistics, he continues to function in other parts of the pitch, dropping deep to create, linking midfield to attack, and still arriving in the box with ruthless timing.

At his current scoring pace, this latest milestone may not hold for long before another one arrives. Kane is now only six goals behind Dieter Hoeness in seventh, seven away from Arjen Robben, and just 17 from Roland Wohlfarth in sixth. Given that he is still producing at over a goal per game, it is no longer a question of whether he will climb higher, but how quickly he can tear through the next set of club legends.

Bayern Munich all-time top scorers:

  1. Gerd Müller – 570 goals (613 games)
