Chelsea have reached the bottom as they have now lost five Premier League games in a row.

Chelsea are now faced with the overwhelming reality that they are deep trouble. Having suffered four straight Premier League losses following their 1-0 loss to Manchester United on Saturday, the Blues needed a win against Brighton to boost their morale.

Coming into the game against Brighton, Chelsea needed to win badly, but their performance against the Seagulls was nothing to write home about.

Chelsea were beaten 3-0 by Brighton at the Amex Stadium, and it was by far the worst performance of the Blues under Rosenior so far.

Chelsea were slow and lethargic and they were outrun by Brighton, who still had more of the possession. Chelsea were condemned from the beginning as Kadioglu’s deflected shot in the fifth minute gave Brighton the lead.

For the next forty minutes, it was all Brighton. Chelsea could barely get a hold of the ball, and Rosenior’s new 3-4-1-2 formation wasn’t working at all. The Blues ended the half without a shot at goal.

In the second half, they tweaked the formation back to the normal four at the back, but for all their early energy, they were undone by a counterattack from Rutter. Chelsea were hit with the final nail in the coffin as Danny Welbeck got his customary goal vs Chelsea in the final minutes of the game.

Chelsea have now lost five games in the Premier League for the first time since 1993, and they have also gone five games without scoring for the first time since 1912.

Chelsea are now breaking every bad record you can think of, and it could get worse should they lose to Leeds in the FA Cup. By the weekend, they could potentially drop to 11th place if the teams beneath them in the table win their games, and then, they would need to win all their remaining EPL games if they are to actually secure a place in the Champions League

It’s not looking good for Chelsea and Rosenior who could be closer than ever to the door with this loss.
