England produced a commanding performance to beat Croatia 7-0 in Rijeka, with Harry Kane scoring twice and Jude Bellingham contributing a goal and three assists.

The victory was one of England’s most convincing displays under Thomas Tuchel, whose team overwhelmed their hosts with pace and aggressive pressing in the final third. Bukayo Saka also scored twice, while Anthony Gordon and substitute Morgan Rogers completed the rout.

Tuchel made five changes to the side that beat Czechia 2-0 on Tuesday, restoring Pickford in goal and bringing Bellingham back into the starting line-up. England took the lead after eight minutes when Bellingham found Kane inside the penalty area. The captain controlled the ball before driving a powerful finish past Dominik Livakovic for his 88th international goal.

Croatia struggled to cope with England’s movement, and the visitors doubled their advantage in the 21st minute. Gordon collected Saka’s cross at the far post and drove the ball across goal, where Bellingham arrived to finish from close range.

Gordon had been a constant threat on the left, combining effectively with Lewis Hall and repeatedly getting behind Croatia’s defence. His contribution was rewarded in the 39th minute when Jarell Quansah delivered an excellent cross from the right and the winger headed home to make it 3-0.

Croatia briefly threatened to respond when Elliot Anderson lost possession, allowing Mateo Kovacic to advance into the penalty area. The Manchester City midfielder rounded Jordan Pickford but sent his shot wide with the goal exposed.

England punished the miss before half-time. Kane dropped deeper to help launch an attack, and Bellingham carried the ball forward before picking out Saka, who finished from close range to give the visitors a four-goal lead at the break.

The pattern continued after half-time. Anderson drove forward on the right and delivered a low cross that Kane converted with a sliding finish seven minutes into the second half.

Kane then turned provider in the 68th minute. After Saka intercepted a misplaced pass from Josip Stanisic, the Arsenal winger combined with England’s captain before firing past Livakovic for his second goal of the night.

Bellingham remained influential as England searched for more goals, although he missed an opportunity after Gordon sent him through on goal. Saka also came close to completing his hat-trick but failed to convert from close range.

Rogers, introduced from the bench, added the seventh goal in the 87th minute, rounding Livakovic before finishing to cap an emphatic evening for England.
