Brazil forward says he is ready to “go elsewhere” if necessary
Real Madrid’s Endrick has admitted he is unsure where he will play next season as his loan spell at Lyon nears its end.
The 19-year-old forward is still under contract at the Bernabeu until 2030 and joined the Ligue 1 side on a six-month loan in December in search of regular playing time.
There is the possibility of remaining at Lyon next season if the club qualifies for the Champions League but Endrick would not be drawn into discussing it.
“I really don’t know,” the Brazilian said. “If I have to return to Real Madrid, I’ll go back there gladly. If I have to go elsewhere, I’ll go elsewhere.”
Endrick has made an impact in France, registering seven goals and seven assists in 17 appearances for the club.
“I really hope we can take Lyon to Champions League qualification, where it belongs,” Endrick said.
The forward had limited opportunities at Madrid this season, making just three appearances after featuring 37 times under Carlo Ancelotti during the 2024-25 campaign. It then left to his loan move in the winter.
Despite his impressive form in France, his agent Tiago Freitas previously indicated that a return to Madrid had already been decided, ruling out the possibility of extending his stay in France.
Lyon are closing in on qualification for Europe. They’ve won three consecutive matches to move into third place in Ligue 1, the final Champions League qualification spot.
