Paulo Dybala has admitted that Sunday’s Serie A derby against SS Lazio could potentially be his final home appearance for Roma amid growing uncertainty over his future.
The Argentine forward revealed that Roma have not yet approached him regarding a new agreement, leaving doubts surrounding whether he will remain at the club beyond the current campaign.

Dybala joined Roma in 2022 after leaving Juventus and quickly became a fan favourite, helping the Giallorossi reach the Europa League final during his first season in the Italian capital. However, the 32-year-old has endured a difficult campaign disrupted by injuries, including recurring hamstring issues and a knee problem that required surgery in March, sidelining him for nearly four months.
Speaking to reporters, Dybala admitted he is unsure what the future holds. “The truth is, I’d like to know something myself, but the club hasn’t approached me yet,” he said. “The contract says the derby will probably be my last match in front of the Roma fans, but we’ll see what happens at the end of the season.”
Despite the uncertainty surrounding his future, Dybala continues to play an important role in Roma’s push for Champions League qualification. He provided an assist in their dramatic 3-2 comeback victory over Parma, a result that moved Roma level on points with AC Milan in the race for the top four.
The Argentine star insisted Roma will continue fighting until the end of the season as they chase a return to Europe’s elite competition, even though their fate may also depend on results elsewhere.
