Borussia Dortmund could generate up to €158 million in player sales this summer, with Guirassy, Adeyemi and Schlotterbeck all expected to leave
Borussia Dortmund could be set for a major financial boost this summer, with reports suggesting the Bundesliga club may generate as much as €158 million through player departures ahead of the 2026/27 season.
The German giants are expected to be active in the transfer market, and several first-team players have emerged as potential candidates to leave Signal Iduna Park in the coming months.
One transfer already gathering momentum involves young winger Julien Duranville. The Belgian talent is reportedly close to completing an €8.5 million move to French side Olympique Lyon, which would mark the first significant outgoing deal of Dortmund’s summer.
Striker Serhou Guirassy is another player attracting attention. Dortmund are believed to be seeking around €40 million for the Guinea international, who remains one of the club’s most valuable attacking assets despite having a release clause worth €35 million for selected elite clubs.
Premier League sides Aston Villa and Tottenham Hotspur have both been linked with Guirassy, but neither club falls within the category covered by that release clause, giving Dortmund greater control over any negotiations.
Karim Adeyemi’s future is also uncertain following a disappointing campaign. The German international managed just 10 goals during the 2025/26 season and has reportedly been placed among the players who could be sold if the right offer arrives.
Dortmund currently value the 24-year-old at around €50 million, although contract extension talks remain a possibility.
Meanwhile, defender Nico Schlotterbeck continues to attract interest despite signing a new contract earlier this season.
His deal reportedly includes a release clause worth between €50 million and €60 million for a select group of elite clubs, with Real Madrid among the teams monitoring his situation.
