Chelsea have fallen off from their lofty heights since BlueCo took over, and after missing out on the Champions League again, the club needs fixing.
BlueCo’s vision for Chelsea isn’t working. The club is falling apart both on the financial and sporting side, and this season has epitomised how badly things have been run at Stamford Bridge.
Since BlueCo took over four years ago, they have spent over a billion pounds, and the results are not fitting of the investments.
Under Roman Abramovich, Chelsea were Champions League regulars and even won the trophy twice, but under BlueCo, they have missed out on the competition three times, even finishing 10th this season and missing out in Europe completely.
Chelsea are no longer the club they used to be. Despite spending all that money, the football is nothing to write about.
Chelsea went through two managers this season, the latter (Rosenior) delivering worse results than the former (Maresca). They have also failed to build on the success of the 2024/25 season, where they won the Conference League and the Club World Cup.

With a new season looming, the owners need to get it right and fast.
What Chelsea Needs For The New Season
Chelsea have moved quickly in the coaching department by getting an experienced name in Xabi Alonso. The club believes that he has the tactical depth to deliver trophies and presence to control the dressing room.
But this is just one step. The squad needs an overhaul. Despite spending over a billion, Chelsea will need to spend again.
In the goalkeeping department, Chelsea could do with an established name. While Sanchez has shown moments of brilliance, if Alonso wants to get an experienced number one, the club would need to get one.
Chelsea’s defence is sloppy, and it’s leaking goals at a frequency that would make any top team collapse. The last time Chelsea kept a clean sheet in the Premier League was in January, and the Blues has conceded at least one goal in every game since then while accruing a streak of losses.

Chelsea will need to get experienced legs in defence who can complement Colwill and help the team concede fewer goals.
If the rumors around Enzo Fernandez leaving are true, Chelsea will need to get a replacement with his profile; otherwise, they will have a huge hole in the midfield.

In attack, the replacements are clear. Chelsea need another striker and a winger who is better and more productive than Garnacho. Jackson coming back will good for the squad and give Joao Pedro more to work with.
If Xabi Alonso will succeed at Chelsea, he’ll need to replace some of the existing players as they have shown this season that they cannot lead Chelsea to a productive season
