David Beckham has praised Luis Enrique’s work at PSG, revealing the Spanish coach’s relentless dedication and explaining how he transformed the French giants into one of Europe’s most dominant teams.

David Beckham has offered a fascinating insight into what has made Luis Enrique such a success at PSG, following the club’s dramatic Champions League semi-final triumph over Bayern Munich.

PSG secured their place in a second consecutive Champions League final after a thrilling two-legged encounter with Bayern, eventually progressing after a tense 1-1 draw in the return leg. The French champions will now face Arsenal in the final in Budapest later this month.

Speaking after the match, Beckham praised the spirit and unity within Enrique’s squad, highlighting how the Spaniard has managed to build a youthful and energetic side capable of competing with Europe’s elite.

The former PSG midfielder also revealed details from a conversation he had with club president Nasser Al-Khelaifi, who explained just how committed Enrique has been since arriving in Paris.

According to Beckham, Enrique dedicated himself entirely to shaping the team’s future and style of play from the very beginning of his tenure. “I spoke to the president of PSG, Nasser Al-Khelaifi,” Beckham said. “He said in the first year, Luis Enrique virtually slept every night at the training facility.”

Beckham explained that Enrique’s obsession with detail and preparation helped establish the foundations for PSG’s current dominance, with the coach constantly analysing how he wanted the team to perform and which players best suited his system.

The former England captain also praised Enrique’s emphasis on intensity and teamwork, noting that the Spaniard wants players who are willing to work relentlessly for the collective cause. That philosophy has paid off this season, with PSG sitting comfortably at the top of Ligue 1 while also preparing to defend their Champions League crown against Arsenal in the final.
