Cristiano Ronaldo has finally tied the knot with his long-term partner Georgina Rodriguez in a private wedding.

Cristiano Ronaldo has married his long-term partner Georgina Rodriguez in a private ceremony in Portugal, bringing a new chapter to one of football’s most closely followed relationships.

The 41-year-old Portugal captain and Rodriguez exchanged vows in an intimate civil ceremony in Cascais, a coastal resort town near Lisbon. The couple’s five children were reportedly present, with the family marking the occasion away from the public spotlight.

Ronaldo confirmed the marriage by sharing a photograph of the couple’s hands showing their wedding rings. A statement released to People described the ceremony as a “private and intimate moment.”

The couple first met in 2017 when Rodriguez was working as a sales assistant at a Gucci store in Madrid. Ronaldo was playing for Real Madrid at the time, and the pair later made their relationship public in March that year.

Rodriguez recalled their first meeting in an interview, describing the moment Ronaldo entered the store with his eldest son and friends as one that immediately left an impression on her. Their relationship has since developed into a long-term partnership, with the couple welcoming two children together.

Ronaldo and Rodriguez announced their engagement on social media last year, with Rodriguez sharing a photograph of her engagement ring and writing, “Yes, I do. In this and in all my lives.” The couple had reportedly been expected to marry on Ronaldo’s home island of Madeira.

Together, Ronaldo and Rodriguez are raising five children. Ronaldo is father to Cristiano Jr, twins Eva Maria and Mateo, while the couple share daughters Alana and Bella.

The wedding comes as Ronaldo continues his remarkable football career. The Al-Nassr forward has scored more than 900 official goals and won 23 major trophies, while representing Portugal since his international debut in 2003. After Portugal’s World Cup defeat to Spain earlier this summer, Ronaldo confirmed that he had played in his final World Cup.
