Chelsea continue to back Liam Rosenior despite poor form, as their hopes of European qualification hang in the balance heading into the final games.

Chelsea are maintaining their support for head coach Liam Rosenior despite a worrying dip in form that has placed their European ambitions in serious jeopardy. A narrow 1-0 defeat to Manchester United over the weekend has left Chelsea sixth in the Premier League standings on 48 points, with little margin for error.

The pressure is intensifying as rivals close in, with Brentford and Bournemouth level on points, while Brighton & Hove Albion, Everton, and Sunderland are all within striking distance.

What once appeared to be a strong push for Champions League qualification has quickly turned into a battle just to secure any form of European football for next season.

Chelsea’s form has been particularly alarming, with four consecutive league defeats leaving the squad short on confidence at a crucial stage of the campaign.

Another setback in their upcoming clash with Brighton could further derail their season and significantly increase the pressure heading into the final weeks. Despite the downturn, the club’s hierarchy continues to publicly back Rosenior, though questions remain over how long that support will last if results fail to improve.

There is still a glimmer of hope in the FA Cup, where a win over Leeds United would send Chelsea into the final, but with their league campaign faltering, Rosenior’s long-term future at Stamford Bridge is becoming increasingly uncertain.
