The result leaves Roberto De Zerbi’s side still deeply involved in the relegation battle with only two matches remaining, while Leeds arrived with confidence after confirming their own top-flight safety following West Ham United’s defeat to Arsenal earlier in the weekend.
Leeds made the brighter start and nearly grabbed an early lead when Joe Rodon powered a close-range header towards goal, only for Tottenham goalkeeper Antonín Kinský to produce an excellent save low to his left.
Tottenham gradually grew into the contest as Richarlison and Pedro Porro both went close before João Palhinha wasted a promising opportunity from inside the penalty area.
The breakthrough finally arrived shortly after halftime when Mathys Tel controlled a loose ball on the edge of the box and curled a superb finish into the top corner to give Tottenham a priceless lead. However, the young forward’s evening quickly turned sour. With 20 minutes remaining, Tel attempted an overhead clearance inside his own penalty area but instead caught Ethan Ampadu in the face, gifting Leeds a penalty after referee intervention.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin stepped up confidently and fired his penalty beyond Kinský to bring Leeds level and silence the home crowd.
The equaliser shifted momentum firmly in Leeds’ favour, and the visitors nearly snatched all three points late on when Sean Longstaff unleashed a powerful strike that Kinský brilliantly tipped onto the crossbar in stoppage time. Tottenham also had late penalty appeals involving James Maddison waved away after a VAR review.

In the end, Tottenham were forced to settle for a point that does little to ease their relegation fears, while Leeds walked away with a valuable result that further strengthens their position heading into the final stretch of the season.
