Speaking after signing the new deal, Caicedo expressed his happiness and belief in the club’s direction, stating that he remains hungry to improve and eager to win more trophies with the Blues. The 24-year-old also shared his ambition to become a Chelsea legend, emphasizing his commitment to giving everything for the club and its supporters as he continues his journey in west London.
Caicedo’s impact has gone beyond consistency, with eight goals to his name, including a strike that was voted Chelsea’s Goal of the Season in 2024. His performances during the 2024/25 campaign earned him both the Players’ Player of the Season and the supporters’ Player of the Season awards.
This season, he has also stepped into a leadership role, wearing the captain’s armband on several occasions, most recently in the game against Manchester City.
Chelsea’s decision to tie down Caicedo represents a major boost for the club’s long-term project, with co-owner Behdad Eghbali highlighting the importance of maintaining a strong core of elite players as they look to build sustained success in the years ahead.
