Bayern Munich came from 3-0 down to beat Mainz 4-3 in a thrilling Bundesliga clash, with Harry Kane netting the dramatic winner.
Bayern Munich produced a remarkable second-half turnaround to defeat Mainz 4-3 in a thrilling Bundesliga encounter at the Mewa Arena.
Fresh from securing the league title, Bayern Munich appeared to have one eye on their treble ambitions, but they were caught completely off guard by a fearless Mainz side that stormed into an early lead.
The hosts struck first when Kaishu Sano showed excellent composure on the right before pulling the ball back for Dominik Kohr, who rifled a bouncing volley beyond goalkeeper Jonas Urbig.
Bayern Munich looked shaken and disorganized, and Mainz punished them again midway through the half. Sano was involved once more, releasing Nadiem Amiri whose saved effort fell kindly for Paul Nebel to smash into the roof of the net.
Things got even worse for Vincent Kompanyโs men before the interval as Sheraldo Becker bundled home from close range after another dangerous Amiri strike caused chaos in the Bayern area, sending Mainz into halftime with a stunning 3-0 advantage.

Kompany responded by turning to his elite bench options, and the change was immediate. Nicolas Jackson volleyed in Konrad Laimerโs cross before Michael Olise curled home a brilliant effort to cut the deficit to one. With momentum fully on Bayernโs side, Jamal Musiala tapped in the equaliser after Mainz failed to clear another Olise delivery, and the comeback was completed when Harry Kane pounced on a rebound to score the winner.
