Bayern Munich have provided a reassuring update on Jamal Musiala after the Germany international briefly collapsed during Saturday’s 3-1 pre-season victory over RB Leipzig at the Allianz Arena.
The worrying incident occurred in the 83rd minute, shortly after Musiala had scored Bayern’s third goal. With temperatures reaching around 33°C in Munich, the 23-year-old suddenly appeared unsteady before collapsing on the pitch.
Bayern captain Joshua Kimmich and new signing Ismael Saibari immediately moved to assist Musiala, while medical staff and an emergency doctor quickly arrived to assess the midfielder. The seriousness of the moment was reflected by the sudden silence inside the stadium.

Musiala was eventually able to stand and walk off the pitch by himself, although he appeared dizzy and understandably shaken. He was then monitored by Bayern’s medical team, who carried out initial examinations following the incident.
According to reports, Musiala experienced dizziness and circulatory problems that appeared to be linked to the heat. The club’s preliminary medical checks did not reveal anything alarming, providing some immediate relief for Bayern.
Bayern sporting director Max Eberl subsequently offered a brief but reassuring update on the midfielder. “He’s doing well, that’s the most important thing,” Eberl told Bild after the match.
Musiala is now expected to rest over the coming days while Bayern continue to monitor his condition. The club will be cautious with the youngster as he recovers from the incident, particularly given the extreme temperatures during the match.
The collapse briefly overshadowed Bayern’s 3-1 victory over Leipzig, but the most important development was the positive initial assessment of Musiala.
