Aston Villa have reached an agreement with Chelsea to sign Alejandro Garnacho on a loan deal that includes an obligation to buy.
Aston Villa have agreed a deal with Chelsea for the signing of Alejandro Garnacho, with the Argentina international set to make the move to Villa Park ahead of the new season.
The agreement is structured as an initial loan with a conditional obligation to buy. According to reports, the conditions attached to the permanent transfer are considered easily achievable, making Garnacho’s long-term stay at Villa highly likely.

The overall package, including the loan fee and future purchase obligation, is understood to satisfy Chelsea’s valuation of the player. The London club had been seeking around £42.6 million for the winger.
Garnacho only joined Chelsea last summer from Manchester United in a deal worth approximately £40 million, but his time at Stamford Bridge appears set to come to an early end as he looks for a fresh opportunity elsewhere.
The Argentine winger had not reported for Chelsea’s pre-season training in recent days, with the club allowing him time to finalise a potential transfer away from west London.
The move comes against the backdrop of another major transaction between the two clubs. Chelsea recently agreed a British-record £117 million deal to sign Morgan Rogers from Aston Villa, and Garnacho’s switch forms part of the growing transfer relationship between the sides this summer.
Villa manager Unai Emery is believed to be a long-time admirer of Garnacho and sees the 22-year-old as an important addition to his attacking options following Rogers’ departure.
For Chelsea, the deal represents another step in reshaping the squad under Xabi Alonso, while Villa gain a talented young winger who will be expected to play a significant role as the club prepares for another campaign in domestic and European competition.
