Napoli are considering signing Liverpool winger Federico Chiesa, who has been deemed surplus to requirements by the Premier League champions.

Napoli have reignited their interest in signing Liverpool winger Federico Chiesa, according to reports from Italy.

The former Juventus player has been considered surplus to requirements by the Premier League champions, making him an attractive target for Napoli. Chiesa’s potential move to Napoli would be a strategic signing for the Italian club, looking to bolster its attacking options.

Napoli’s pursuit of Chiesa comes after the club’s transfer plans were put on hold due to failed negotiations with other targets. The Neapolitan side had been interested in Swiss forward Dan Ndoye, but Nottingham Forest swooped in and signed him.

Napoli also explored the possibility of signing Girona defender Miguel Gutierrez, but the deal has reportedly been put on hold.

With the need for a winger, Napoli has turned its attention to Chiesa, who earns significantly less than other Premier League wingers linked to the club. Chelsea’s Raheem Sterling and Manchester City’s Jack Grealish have been touted as options, but their extreme salaries are a deterrent.

Chiesa, on the other hand, earns around €6 million per season, making him a more feasible target for Napoli.

Chiesa’s potential move to Napoli would be an interesting development in the transfer market. The winger has shown promise in his career, and Napoli’s style of play could suit him well.

With Antonio Conte at the helm, Napoli are looking to make a strong impression in the upcoming season, and signing Chiesa could be a key move in achieving that goal.
